RALEIGH - Motorists on traveling I-40/I-85 in Orange County this week should expect
nighttime lane closures as the N.C. Department of Transportation makes
repairs to overhead signs.Beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2,
weather permitting, crews will close the two right lanes of I-40 East/I-85
North near Buckhorn Road. The lanes are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Thursday,
April 3.The next night, crews will close the two
right lanes of I-40 West/I-85 South near Mebane Oaks Road. These lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. on Thursday,
April 3, until 6 a.m. on Friday, April 4. NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert, expect delays and
