MANNS HARBOR- With Hurricane Arthur encroaching on the coast, the North Carolina Department of Transportation's Ferry Division is making the following adjustments to its Pamlico Sound route schedules for Thursday, July 3:
The Ocracoke departure scheduled to depart at 4:30 p.m. to Cedar Island will now depart at 4 p.m.
The Swan Quarter departure scheduled to depart at 4:30 p.m. to Ocracoke will now depart at 4 p.m.
The 8 p.m. departure from Ocracoke to Cedar Island is canceled.
The 5:30 p.m. departure from Cedar Island to Ocracoke is canceled.
The departing times for July 3 are as follows:
Cedar Island to Ocracoke: 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m.
Ocracoke to Cedar Island: 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.
Ocracoke to Swan Quarter: 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 4 p.m.
Swan Quarter to Ocracoke: 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m.
Both Pamlico Sound routes will shut down for the storm after their 4 p.m. departures. The routes will reopen when conditions improve after Arthur passes.
