RALEIGH -The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles will join the fun and
excitement in Morehead City at "The 28th Annual North Carolina
Seafood Festival" from Saturday, October 4 -Sunday, October 5. An NCDMV mobile
unit will be located next to the Southern Outer Banks Boat Show & Outdoor
Expo at the Port of Morehead City. Division representatives will be present during
the festival, providing information and driver services to all customers.
From 9 a.m. -6
p.m. on Saturday, the Division will offer opportunities for festival goers to
renew their driver licenses, as long as a written or road test is not required.
Driver licenses are issued through age 65 for eight years and are priced at $4
per year. Drivers 65 and older are issued licenses for five years.

driver handbooks and brochures.

Citizens applying for an ID card for the first time will need to provide proof
of their full name and date of birth. They will also need to provide a Social
