CHARLOTTE -The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close Stevens Mill Road over North Fork Crooked Creek in Stallings at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, weather permitting. The closure will allow crews to safely replace the existing bridge.
The following detours will be in place for motorists:
Southbound Stevens Mill Road: Follow Stevens Mill Road to Idlewild Road to Stallings Road back to Stevens Mill Road;
Northbound Stevens Mill Road: Follow Stevens Mill Road to Stallings Road to Idlewild Road back to Stevens Mill Road.
The closure will be in place 150 days with bridgework complete by Feb. 4, 2015.
