Raleigh - N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will switch traffic this weekend on U.S. 52 southbound near exit 129, north of King in Stokes County. It is part of a bridge replacement project for both the north and south bound bridges over the Little Yadkin River.
On Saturday Dec. 13, at 9 a.m., crews will start to switch traffic into the final traffic pattern. One of two southbound lanes will be closed between mile markers 129 and 130.
Weather permitting, the work will be completed by Dec. 18.
The northbound traffic will be switched into a temporary pattern early next year. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2015.
