RALEIGH - Beginning
Monday, Aug. 4, the N.C. Department of
Transportation will close the section of
U.S. 701 between Harrelson Road and Britt Road in Bladen County to replace four
pipes under the highway in preparation of an upcoming resurfacing project.
Crews will finish
replacing the pipes and reopen this portion of U.S. 701 by Friday, Aug. 8,
weather permitting. A detour
route for the closure will be in place during this time, using N.C. 242,
Twisted Hickory Road and Britt Road.

stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
