CHARLOTTE N.C. Department of Transportation bridge crews will temporarily close a section of Love Mill Road over Rocky River south of Locust today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The one-day closure is necessary for crews to remove debris and drift that has built up against some of the bridge supports.
Motorists can get around the closure by following a posted detour from Love Mill Road to Rock Hole Road to N.C. 200 to N.C. 218 back to Love Mill Road. Part of the detour will take motorists into Stanly County.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
