Northbound Carolinian Train Cancelled Due to Downed Power Lines

RALEIGH - The northbound Carolinian #80 train, which departed Charlotte at 7 a.m. this morning, is now cancelled. The train has been sitting on the tracks south of High Point for several hours due to downed power lines which have made the tracks impassable. The train is now returning to the Salisbury, Kannapolis and Charlotte depots to drop passengers off.

Norfolk Southern is working with Duke Energy to have the power lines cleared.
