RALEIGH -The N.C.
Department of Transportation will close multiple lanes of westbound I-40
overnight between Davis Drive (Exit 280) and N.C. 147 (Exit 279) in Durham
County for two weeks, starting Monday, Aug. 11, weather permitting.
The closures are needed so crews can do routine interstate
maintenance. They will be in place between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. each night.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction
information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
