Pipe Replacement Project Begins Sunday, June 8 on N.C. 159/Zoo Parkway in Randolph County

If weather prohibits work beginning June 8, crews will begin June 16RALEIGH - Beginning Sunday, June 8 at 6 p.m., N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close a section of N.C. 159/Zoo Parkway, just north of the Zoo entrance in Asheboro, to replace three large pipes under the highway.

During the project, motorists traveling from north will be able to access the Zoo using U.S. 220 Bypass South and N.C. 159 on the south side of the entrance.

NCDOT will be using all available resources to complete the pipe replacements by Thursday, June 12.
