Resurfacing on Spence Avenue at U.S. 70 in Goldsboro to Begin Monday

RALEIGH - The N.C. Department of Transportation is preparing to begin a resurfacing project in Goldsboro that will improve safety and driving conditions along Spence Avenue.Starting Monday, Oct. 6, weather permitting, crews with S.T. Wooten Co. of Wilson will begin resurfacing Spence Avenue between Royall Avenue and Park Drive in the vicinity of the U.S. 70 interchange. The project is expected to take three to four days to complete, weather permitting.Lane closures will be in place during construction. Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area and to expect delays. In order to avoid delays, use of alternate routes to local destinations is encouraged. NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
