Routine Overhead Light Maintenance to Close a Lane of I-40 in Greensboro

Motorists can expect lane, shoulder closures Sunday morning and Tuesday night
RALEIGH - As a routine roadway light maintenance project continues in Guilford County, the N.C. Department of Transportation advises motorists to be aware of upcoming lane closures on I-40 in Greensboro.The right lane and shoulder of I-40 West will be closed intermittently between Freeman Mill Road and Ohenry Boulevard, beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, weather permitting. The work is expected to be completed by noon.In addition, crews will close the right lane and shoulder of this section of I-40 East from 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, weather permitting.NCDOT reminds motorists to use caution in the area and allow additional time to reach their destinations.
