Concord - The Annual Highway Safety Symposium that was slated to begin tomorrow at the Concord Convention Center has been postponed due to the winter weather that is forecasted to impact the vast majority of the state. The annual symposium is hosted by the Governor's Highway Safety Program, North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Safe Kids North Carolina. The conference is attended by law enforcement, magistrates and district attorneys from all across North Carolina and focuses on education and issues facing the highway safety community.
"The safety of the citizens of North Carolina and our law enforcement is our top priority," said Don Nail, director of the N.C. Governor's Highway Safety Program. "While we hate to postpone the symposium, we are looking forward to rescheduling as soon as possible."
The new date of the annual Highway Safety Symposium will be announced at a later time.
