Department of Transportation
contractor will close eastbound I-40 Business at N.C. 66 (exit 15) in Forsyth
County early on Friday, June 19, to safely do a traffic switch, closing the
right lane of the highway in that area for about a week.
Friday's closure, scheduled for
1 to 5 a.m., will create a very short detour, sending traffic up the N.C. 66
exit ramp, and then back down the on ramp to continue on eastbound I-40
Kernersville Police will be on
hand to help with traffic control. But NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert and follow signs and detour
