Raleigh - While continuing work on two bridges over the Cape Fear River and Cross Creek, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the Interstate 95 Business Loop to southbound traffic Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11. This will allow crews to install large beams known as girders on a portion of the Cross Creek Bridge. Motorists may notice cranes in the area for the work.
The northbound route along theI-95 Business Loop will remain open while the southbound lane will use a signed detour previously in place during earlier construction.
