CHARLOTTE--N.C. Department of Transportationcrews are continuing to clear roads acrossthe Charlotte region, and today they're making progress on the area's secondary roads.
NCDOT Division 10 crews will be working diligently today to make as much progress as possible, since prolonged periods of below-freezing temperatures are expected in the coming days. Division 10 includes Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Stanly and Union counties.
Most counties within the Division started working on secondary roads Tuesday, with continued work on those roads today. Overnight Tuesday and early this morning, crews worked to monitor slick spots caused by refreezing, particularly on bridges, overpasses and otherelevated surfaces.
