NCDOT to Temporarily Close Lane of I-77 in Yadkin County for Tree Limb Removal

SHELBY-- TheN.C. Department of Transportationwill temporarily close one lane of Interstate77 South from N.C. 67 to U.S. 421 beginning Monday, Jan. 26, while crews clear an overgrowth oftree limbs.

Crews will be working along the right shoulder of I-77 to clear tree limbs that have begun to affect motorists' sight distance. During this time, the right lane will be closed near where crews are working, and the work zone will advance as crews progress.

After the limbs are cleared on I-77, crews will return to N.C. 67 near East Bend to complete the section of work up to the Forsyth County line.

The work, weather permitting, is expected to continue through the first week of February.
