RALEIGH While continuing work on two bridges over the Cape Fear River and Cross Creek, theN.C. Department of Transportationwill close Interstate 95 Business/U.S. 301 to traffic for 15 to 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, September 22. This will allow crews to install an overhead sign structure. Motorists may notice cranes in the area for the work.
Message boards are already up along the route to alert motorists of the coming traffic shift. Drivers will follow a signed detour along N.C. 24 to I-95, or use Dunn Road and Middle Road to I- 95Business.Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
