RALEIGH -Beginning Monday, Nov. 30, Piedmont trains 73, 74, 75 and 76 will operate on updated schedules to compensate for construction projects taking place on the Raleigh-Charlotte corridor in 2016.
These projects are part of the Piedmont Improvement Project (PIP), a series of railroad and highway construction projects designed to make train travel safer, more reliable and more efficient. Once PIP is completed in 2017, North Carolina's Amtrak will update the daily schedules to reflect the new and improved services.
As of Nov. 30, 2015:
- Train 73 will depart Raleigh daily at 6:45 a.m. and arrive in Charlotte at 10:04 a.m.
- Train 74 will depart Charlotte daily at noon and arrive in Raleigh at 3:21 p.m.
- Train 75 will depart Raleigh daily at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Charlotte at 3:04 p.m.
- Train 76 will depart Charlotte daily at 5:15 p.m. and arrive in Raleigh at 8:36 p.m.
