RALEIGH-TheN.C. Department of Transportationwill hold an informalpublic meetingon June 30 regarding proposed safety improvements on Cedar Creek Road (N.C. 53), from west of Interstate 95 to east of I-95 in Fayetteville.
The proposed project would construct a median with directional crossovers for U-turns, pedestrian crosswalks, flashing beacons and sidewalk. The crews would also resurface the route. These updates will make the route safer and more effective in handling an increase of traffic in the area.
The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Vander Fire Department at 3509 Clinton Road in Fayetteville.
NCDOT representatives will be available during the open-house style setting to provide information, answer questions and collect comments regarding the proposed project. Citizens are welcome to attend at any time during the meeting hours, as there will not be a formal presentation. Public comments will also be accepted through July 13.
