RALEIGH-TheN.C. Department of Transportationwill hold three informalpublic meetingsregarding the ongoing development of the Moore County Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
Moore County does not have a transportation plan that addresses the county's current growth and development. At the request of county leaders, NCDOT is assisting the county by working to develop a new long-range transportation plan that goes through the year 2040.
The drop-in meetings' schedule is as follows:
- March 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Moore County Agricultural Center, 707 Pinehurst Avenue, Carthage;
- March 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Assembly Hall in the Pinehurst Village Hall, 395 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst; and
- March 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Aberdeen Elementary School, 503 North Sandhills Boulevard, Aberdeen.
NCDOT representatives will be available during the open-house style setting to provide information, answer questions and collect comments regarding the proposed project. Citizens are welcome to attend at any time during the meeting hours, as there will not be a formal presentation. All sessions will present the same information.
