Stanly County Bridge Temporarily Closed for Repairs

CHARLOTTE-TheN.C. Department of Transportationhas closed a portion of Stony Gap Road near U.S. 52 in Stanly County to repair a bridge.

The bridge, which spans a branch of Jacobs Creek southeast of Albemarle, needed repairs to its deck. The road is expected to reopen by Wednesday, April 22, at 5 p.m.

Motorists should seek alternate routes when traveling through the area.
