Track work being performed by Norfolk Southern in June will affect the Piedmont and Carolinian trains between Charlotte and Raleigh.
On Monday, June 1:
SouthboundPiedmonttrains 73 and 75, which normally operate between Raleigh and Charlotte, will terminate at Salisbury, where passengers will be provided bus service to Kannapolis and Charlotte.
NorthboundPiedmonttrains 74 and 76, which normally originate in Charlotte, will originate in Salisbury. Passengers boarding at Charlotte and Kannapolis will be provided bus service to Salisbury where they can transfer to Trains 74 or 76.
The buses for Trains 74 and 76 will depart 15 minutes earlier than the normal schedule. The bus for Train 74 will depart Charlotte at 11:45 a.m. and Kannapolis at 12:10 p.m. The bus for Train 76 will depart Charlotte at 5 p.m. and Kannapolis at 5:25 p.m.
On Monday, June 8:
Piedmonttrains 74 and 75 will be cancelled.
Caroliniantrain 79 will operate between New York and Raleigh. Service will not be provided between Raleigh and Charlotte.
Caroliniantrain 80 will originate in Raleigh and operate to New York. Service will not be provided between Charlotte and Raleigh.
Passengers traveling between Charlotte and Raleigh can make reservations aboard Trains 73 and 76.
On Monday, June 15:
Piedmonttrains 74 and 75 will be cancelled with no alternate transportation provided.
