Raleigh-N.C. Department of Transportation Contractors have two traffic shifts planned for the Rolesville Bypass Project, weather permitting.
Beginning tonight, after the evening commute, the contractor will begin shifts that will ultimately result in providing access to a large portion of the U.S. 401 Bypass around Rolesville.
The first traffic shift will split northbound and southbound traffic at the location where the existing U.S. 401 intersects with the new U.S. 401 Bypass. Northbound traffic will continue in its current pattern while southbound traffic will be shifted onto the new southbound lanes at the intersection of these two routes.
The second traffic shift is scheduled to take place Tuesday, July 14, between 12 and 5 a.m. This traffic shift will open the bypass in a four lane pattern from Louisbury Road to just south of Creek Pine Drive.
