Big Band Will Bring Big Traffic to The Greensboro Coliseum Area This Weekend

Greensboro - N.C. Department of Transportation is preparing for an event at the Greensboro Coliseum that will generate a high volume of traffic in and around West Gate City Boulevard and Coliseum Boulevard this Sunday. The heaviest traffic is expected on from 5 p.m. until well after midnight as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are expected to draw tens of thousands into town for a concert. An estimated increase of 16,000 vehicles will travel to the event from around the state and region. NCDOT will utilize overhead message signs and portable message signs to alert motorists of problem areas and suggested alternate routes around incidents and congestion if needed. Motorists who do not need to travel near the coliseum during this event are asked to avoid the area. For parking and direction information click here or contact Greensboro Coliseum Parking Services Manager Matthew McNellis at 336-373-7434.
