Manns Harbor - Ferry operations between Cherry Branch and Minnesott Beach resumed on Sunday morning after the N.C. Department of Transportation's Ferry Division safely conducted a test run and received approval from the U.S. Coast Guard.
The first trip out of Cherry Branch departed at 5 a.m., and the first ferry from Minnesott Beach launched at 5:25 a.m. The ferries will run on their regular schedule throughout the day.
Additional stations operating on a regular schedule include Pamlico River and Southport-Fort Fisher. All other crossings remain suspended due to high winds from Tropical Storm Hermine. Crews will assess weather conditions throughout the day and resume operations if it is safe to do so.
