Concrete Slab Repairs to Close Lanes Along a Portion of U.S. 52 (Work Taking Place This Weekend)

Winston-Salem - N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews must close outside lanes along a section of U.S. 52 between mile-marker 107 and 108 in both directions and ramps on 193B and 108, while they repair several broken concrete slabs and patch multiple potholes along this stretch. "Closing down a lane in each direction will have a high impact on traffic and we want to lessen that impact as much as possible," said Division Nine County Maintenance Engineer Kevin Hedrick. Lane closures will start at 10 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 9, and is expected to end by 5 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11. NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
