- Beginning Oct. 11, the N. C. Division of Motor Vehicles will send its mobile office to a new location in Scotland Neck. The mobile office will visit the Senior Center at 1403 Church St. The office will continue to visit on Tuesday of the second full week each month.
The Senior Center previously served as the site for DMV's mobile RV-style office. The new office replaces the older RV unit with a first-of-its-kind design in the nation. The new office offers greater flexibility, fuel conservation and lower maintenance costs. It will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The new mobile office is one of several to be deployed to the state's remote areas and is part of Governor Pat McCrory's "Driving Change" initiative to enhance customer service and reduce wait times at DMV offices across the state.
