Winston-Salem - N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close a section of Leonard Road between Arnold Road and the U.S. 52 overpass in Lexington while they work to replace an aging drainage pipe under the roadway. Weather permitting; work will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 9. The road is expected to re-open by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13. Local traffic will be able to access homes and businesses from either end of Leonard Road but will not be able to pass beyond the closure points on either side of the work area.
