Raleigh - Service on the Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach ferry route will be suspended after 6 p.m. due to anticipated high winds and heavy rain from Tropical Storm Hermine.
Ferries from Cherry Branch are now scheduled to depart at 4 and 4:30, with a final trip at 5:30 p.m. Departures from Minnesott Beach will be at 4:30, 5 and 6 p.m.
The N.C. Department of Transportation's Ferry Division is monitoring weather conditions, and routes are expected to resume as soon as it is safe to do so.
