Hundreds of passengers hopped on board our last Panthers Train to cheer the Panthers to victory on Jan. 17. The NFC Championship game is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, and while North Carolina's Amtrak will not be running an official Panthers Train (since the game will end too late), there are rail options to get fans to and from the game:
Getting to the Game (Sunday, Jan. 24)
Piedmont Train 75 departs Raleigh at 11:45 a.m., arriving in Charlotte at 3:04 p.m. -plenty of time to squeeze in some tailgating prior to the game!
Getting Home from the Game (Monday, Jan. 25)
Passengers heading back to Salisbury, High Point and Greensboro can hop on board the Crescent Train 20 departing Charlotte at 1:46 a.m., arriving in Salisbury at 2:32 a.m., High Point at 3:16 a.m. and Greensboro at 3:37 a.m.
The Carolinian Train 80 departs Charlotte at 7 a.m. heading back to Raleigh.
Or, spend the day exploring Charlotte and hop on board our evening Piedmont Train 76 departing Charlotte at 5:15 p.m. for Raleigh.
Note: Piedmont Train 74, scheduled to depart Charlotte at noon on Monday, Jan. 25, is cancelled due to trackwork. Additionally, special bus transportation to/from the Charlotte Amtrak Station will not be provided.
