Public voting has been underway since March 4th of this year when a selection committee made up of representatives from around the county narrowed down a list of some 1,800 public nominations to these four names:

"A new $100 million highway project deserves a new name and the public made that clear when we first began this planning process to rehab Business 40 about a decade ago," said Division 9 Engineer Pat Ivey.
All residents of the metropolitan area are eligible to vote.
There will be only 10 votes allowed per device.
The name of the highway will be announced after the announcement of the project's Design Build (contracting) Team in the coming months.
