Office is scheduled to close Oct. 6 and re-open Oct. 10
Raleigh - The Lincolnton Driver License Office will temporarily close for equipment installation and renovations on Thursday, Oct. 6. It is scheduled to re-open on Monday, Oct. 10, at 8 a.m.
The Lincolnton office, located at 1450 North Aspen Street, is one of 25 driver license offices across the state to undergo a new office design that will include the installation of new cubicles and ergonomic bench seating to increase customer comfort, as well as informational posters. The office floor will be refurbished, and walls will be removed to allow additional space for customers. Workers will also install a greeter desk and a new testing unit.
As part of the second phase of state DMV office upgrades, renovations will be completed in 50 of the state's 113 driver license offices by the end of November.
