NCDMV Advises Citizens to Call Before Visiting Local Offices During Winter Weather, Go Online for DMV Services

Offices may have to delay service due to expected ice, snow, but renewals, other services still available online

Raleigh - The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles advises citizens to call before visiting their local driver license offices during the widespread winter storm expected tomorrow. Other offices, such as license plate agencies, may also be affected. Citizens are also reminded that online services for driver license renewals, vehicle registration renewals and other services will continue to be available despite the storm.

Before traveling to a local DMV office, citizens should check the DMV website for up-to-date information about office delays, closures and road test suspensions. The status of each office and local phone numbers are available on DMV's Office Locations page. Information will also be posted about re-openings following the storm.

Additional messages will be provided via the N.C. Department of Transportation Twitter account.
