Greensboro - N.C. Department of Transportation will close Exit 223 at U.S. 29/70 East while contractors continue work to replace the bridge that carries Martin Luther King Jr. Drive over U.S. 29.
Weather permitting; crews will begin work that will take place nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tonight and Wednesday March 30 and 31. The road is expected to re-open by 6 a.m. on Friday, April 1.
This project is part of the department's statewide bridge program to improve the condition of the state's bridges.
