Greensboro - Lane closures will be in place this Sunday morning while crews with the City of Greensboro work on a sewer main cleaning located at 2359 West Wendover Avenue.
Work is scheduled to take place from 3 a.m. to 12 p.m. during which time two of the three far right lanes will be closed.
NCDOT is allowing the lane closures of the roadway at the bequest of City officials and remind the traveling public of the Move Over Law. Under the "Move Over" law, motorists are required to move over one lane, if possible, or reduce speed for stopped emergency vehicles with flashing lights on the shoulder of the highway, including public service vehicles with amber lights. Violating the law could result in a $500 fine.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
