Raleigh - A new traffic signal at N.C. 711 and Chicken Road in Pembroke in Robeson County will soon be activated.
Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation have installed the signal. It will be flashing beginning Wednesday, Aug. 24 and fully activated on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Message boards are in the area to notify motorists of the new setup at that intersection. The transportation department asks motorists to be especially careful and to pay attention to posted speed limits.
