Asheville - Airport Road had recently been upgraded.
It's time for Henderson and Buncombe County residents to let their opinions be heard about proposed improvements to Old Airport Road between Hendersonville Road and Cane Creek Road in Fletcher.
The Department of Transportation will hold an informal public meeting regarding the proposed widening of the road and improved intersections at Hendersonville Road and Cane Creek. The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Fletcher Town Hall, which is located at 300 Old Cane Creek Road.
Transportation officials will have a variety of maps and proposed improvements available for viewing. They will also answer questions and receive comments about the proposed project. Residents may attend at any time, there will be not be a formal presentation. Citizens will be able to submit written comments and questions, but they must be received by Sept. 27.
