Pipe Replacement to Close Portion of Orange Grove Road in Orange County

Greensboro - The N.C. Department of Transportation must close a section Orange Grove Road in both directions between Teer Road and Dairyland Road near Carrboro as crews replace a deteriorating pipe under the roadway.

Weather permitting, crews will close the road at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22. The road is scheduled to reopen at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29. 

Motorists traveling through the area will use Dairyland Road, Dodson Cross Road, and N.C. 54 as the ten-mile detour route. Transportation officials advise driver to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
