Wilmington - Transportation officials will hold an open-house public meeting on Thursday, Dec. 8, to review proposed alternatives for improvements to U.S. 258 between Pony Farm Road and N.C. 53/Burgaw Highway in Jacksonville. The purpose of this project is to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow on U.S. 258 in Jacksonville.
The open-house will take place at the Onslow County Government Complex at 234 Northwestern Corridor Boulevard in Jacksonville from 5 to 7 p.m. Interested citizens are encouraged to attend at any time during the meeting hours, as there will not be any formal presentation.
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project. Interested citizens may attend at any time during the meeting. Citizens will also have the opportunity to submit comments and questions in writing. Comments will also be taken into consideration as the project progresses. All comments must be received no later than Friday, Dec. 23, 2016.
The public can view maps displaying the location and possible design concepts for the project at the meeting and as they become available online in the public meetings section of the department website.
