Raleigh - Visitors from across the state attending a pair of major music events in North Carolina later this week can take advantage of the NC By Train service provided by the NCDOT Rail Division for a safe and easy trip to and from the series of shows.
The Hopscotch Music Festival will be in downtown Raleigh from Thursday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 10. In downtown Greensboro, the 76th National Folk Festival is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9 through Sunday, Sept. 11.
The various venues for both events are easily accessible from the nearby rail passenger stations for music fans from across the state.
For the Hopscotch event, NC By Train service traveling from Charlotte and other stops to the west to Raleigh can arrive at 10:25 a.m., 3:21 p.m. or 8:36 p.m. each day. Heading home, they can catch trains at 6:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 4:50 p.m.
Folk Festival fans from the western part of the state can arrive by train in Greensboro at 8:39 a.m., 1:42 p.m. and 6:57 p.m. Return trips are set for 8:21 a.m. and 1:21 p.m. and 6:32 p.m.
