Currituck - A security training exercise will take place at the Currituck Ferry Terminal on Thursday, July 14. The exercise will begin at approximately 10:45 a.m. The public may see first responder and federal law enforcement activity at the Currituck Ferry Terminal during that time.
The exercise is not planned as a response to any current threat or specific security concerns, but is intended to promote preparedness and cooperation between law enforcement agencies and first responders.
The 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. departures from Currituck and the noon and 3 p.m. departures from Knotts Island will be canceled. Normal operations will resume with the 4 p.m. departure from Currituck.
