Track Work Affects Service Sunday through Thursday, Sept. 25-29, 2016 on Carolinian Trains 79 and 80 Palmetto Train 89 and Silver Star Train 92
On the dates shown below, CSX Transportation will perform track work that may affect your trip as follows:
Carolinian Trains 79 and 80: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 26, 27 and 28
Trains 79 and 80, which normally operates between New York and Charlotte, NC, will operate between Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte only on Sept, 26-28. Trains will not operate between New York and Raleigh.
Palmetto Train 89: Monday through Thursday, Sept. 26, 27, 28, and 29
Train 89 will operate as scheduled to Petersburg, VA., on Sept. 26-29. At Petersburg, the train will wait for one to two hours until CSX crews clear the track, then proceed to all remaining stations on the route.
Silver Star Train 92: Sunday through Wednesday, Sept. 25, 26, 27 and 28
Silver Star Train 92 will depart Miami, FL, at 1:50 p.m., two hours later than current schedule on Sept. 25, 26, 27 and 28. Upon arriving at Tampa, FL, the train will wait an additional hour departing at 8:27 p.m. The train will depart all remaining stations three hours later through its arrival at New York. Note that Train 92 may encounter delays between Petersburg and Washington.
Bus 6092: The later schedule for Train 92 will affect Thruway Connecting bus service. Customers aboard Bus 6092 who are connecting to Train 92 at Tampa will have a longer layover time. Bus 6092 will arrive in Tampa at 3:45 p.m. Customers will layover in Tampa until Train 92 arrives at 7:13 p.m. Bus 6292 will operate on a later schedule, as shown.
