Raleigh - Children and adults alike can get on board for National Train Day, a celebration of all things railroading, at the N.C. Transportation Museum in Spencer, and NC By Train can help you get there.
On Friday, May 12 (Noon-7 p.m.) and Saturday, May 13 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), visitors can enjoy activities such as behind-the-scenes- museum tours, model train layouts, special photo opportunities, a train show, and rides on the Transportation Museum Passenger Train.
To get to the event, attendees can take NC By Train and board at any of the following train stations: Charlotte, Kannapolis, High Point, Greensboro, Burlington, Durham, Cary and Raleigh. Shuttles will provide transport between the train station and museum on both days during event hours.
