Winston-Salem - Motorists who travel through the work zone for the Old Beatty Ford Road project will encounter a traffic shift at Lentz Road and Old Beatty Ford.
"N.C. Department of Transportation contractors have created a new intersection for this roadway due to safety and capacity challenges in this area," said Division 9 Resident Engineer Kelly Seitz.
Traffic will be shifted in phases onto the new asphalt pavement Friday, Aug. 18, weather permitting.
The entire project, including the new interchange along for the I-85 Corridor Improvement Project is scheduled to be complete by November 2019.
