WILMINGTON – Overnight intermittent lane closures on a pair of Interstate 140 bridges will continue through next week. The closures are needed for maintenance repair work on the Dan Cameron Bridge over the Northeast Cape Fear River and the bridge over Blue Clay Road.
Work to replace expansion joints on the bridges has been underway since early this week, and will continue through Friday morning, Oct. 19. The intermittent lane closures can be in place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night.
Drivers are urged to pay attention and slow down as they approach the work zone on each bridge for their own safety as well as for the workers on the bridge.
