MORRISVILLE — N.C. Department of Transportation contractors plan to close both directions of Interstate 40 at Aviation Parkway for six more nights for bridge girder installation and construction.
Crews will close I-40 each night from 12 a.m. until 6 a.m. beginning Saturday night for the next five nights, pending weather. Follow NCDOT_Triangle on Twitter for the latest closure info.
The detour will be very short as law enforcement will direct drivers up and down the on and off ramps at the Aviation Parkway interchange (Exit 285).
Motorists need to slow down and pay extra attention as they travel through the work zone.
