Traffic was placed on the newly constructed bridge on January 27, 2018. The existing bascule drawbridge over Gallants Channel was closed to traffic on January 27, 2018.Turner Street was closed in June 2015, and work to replace the culvert pipes with a new bridge was completed by April 1, 2018.The final four-lane traffic pattern for the new alignment of U.S. 70 was in place by June 2018.Removal of the old bascule drawbridge was completed by June 2018. 3/25/2020 10:22 AM
