Project Overview
Planning and development are underway to widen Miller Boulevard and N.C. 101 (Fontana Boulevard) to four lanes with a raised median between Lake Road to Outer Banks Drive in Havelock, Craven County.
The purpose of this project is to alleviate traffic congestion, add capacity for anticipated growth in traffic and improve safety throughout the corridor, which will become a more prominent gateway to downtown Havelock after the Havelock Bypass is completed.
Project Funding
This project is listed as Project U-3431 in the
N.C. Department of Transportation's State Transportation Improvement Program and is funded for $60 million.
