Jim Crawford is a businessman and developer and serves as a partner in Crawford Properties in Henderson. He also served for 28 years as a member of the N.C. House of Representatives.
Crawford has been a member of a wide variety of organizations, boards and commissions, and currently serves on the Vance-Granville Community College Foundation Board and Granville Medical Center Foundation Board. He is also president of the Granville County Historical Society and a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church Trustees. He is also former member of the N.C. Board of Transportation.
A life-long resident of Oxford, Crawford earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
His term on the N.C. Turnpike Authority Board of Directors runs from 2015 to 2019.
